RED has said on multiple occasions (or more specifically Jarred Land) that the OG Komodo is pretty much tapped out at this point in terms of updates to be expected. Maaaaaybe, there could be some increased lens compatibility updates, but I'd be doubtful even on that since it would require programming specifically for the OG Komodo and most of their resources are focused on the newer lineup. But it's still a great camera as long as you're not expecting Canon or Sony levels of autofocus.

I have a R50 my self. As a beginner it dose more then what I want, but when I started looking for better lens. The only thing I found was get a EF adaptor. or buy super expensive RF glass. As a beginner my self. Its kind of a buzz kill when compared to the amount of lens the e mount has, or the older EF mount. If you are new you wont have a library of older EF lens like people that have been doing this for years. Its honestly a good for cannon to open up the mount to others, but there will be a lot of people like me. Who will buy the camera with out doing proper research. Find out they will limited by the RF mont, and start looking at other brands. Yes Im looking at sony a6700. Or you will have people leaving the cannon eco system that have only shot cannon. Because of the limited lens.

I've noticed that once paired with the pocket 3, you can't use noise cancel anymore. it seems noise cancel only works if paired with the receiver.

thank you for the video! I have the following problem: my batteries don't charge when I use the USB quick charge adapter from Apple. It doesn't glow red either. It only charges when I charge it via the lemo port. Which is of course a shame when you're on the move. Am I doing something wrong?

I had this set up a few years ago and the battery read out levels were really wonky. It made it hard to tell which batteries had what percentage of power left. Has this gotten better with firmware updates?

I have one and I’ve had issues with the camera not turning on after turning off. I have to disconnect the grip and reconnect to get the camera to boot again. Have you had this issue?

I am debating on Macbook Pro with M3 chip (8-core CPU 10-core GPU 16GB Unified Memory 1TB SSD Storage¹) and Macbook Pro with M3 pro chip (11-core CPU 14-core GPU 18GB Unified Memory 512GB SSD Storage¹) . I will use the laptop for video editing for client works and content editing for myself on Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects. Which one should I choose? Should I go with the higher ram and the pro chip? Or will it give me a headache to move files all the time due to 512ssd?

Nice!!! Btw about Cfast I had a Cfast 2.0 1 TB card with drops and overheating could not record with P6K Q1 or 3:2 50 fps 6K but..I formated it 4 times...3 times in camera once not a speed format but the regular one with my PC. Since then no problem...

Please I have a question, or mostly a doubt: As we can see with the sigma 18-35mm with the Viltrox Speed Bosster is vignette at 18mm (in the Eos R7 or any Eos Aps-C), if you apply the "Electronic IS, standard mode" stabilization that adds only a 10% crop in the camera, would it still vignette? Or if only the "Enhance, Electronic IS" stabilization (that come with the 30% crop) would work without vignette?

You can fix the rolling shutter in Resolve using the gyroscope stabilizer.
